Attempted dog theft

Following notification of a recent attempt to steal a dog by impersonating a dog ranger, Council would like to advise dog owners if you are approached about your dog:

• Council staff will always be in a Council branded vehicle.
• Council staff will present identification and authority from the Council.

If you are or have been approached by anyone who does not meet the above criteria about your dog, please contact Council and the Police and provide as much detail about the incident as you can.
