Voting is about to begin for the extraordinary vacancy in the Northern Ward.
Postal voting papers are arriving in the mail for Northern Ward voters. Voting opens on Thursday 26 January and closes at 12 noon on Friday 17 February.
If you have not received your voting papers by Monday 30 January, please visit the Customer Service Centre in Hokitika.
If you are not on the electoral roll, you can enrol or amend your details on or before 5pm, Thursday 16 February. Go to https://bit.ly/3PJyjtM for details.
If you are a Northern Ward ratepayer and you live outside the ward, you can enrol by completing and returning a ratepayer enrolment form, available from Westland District Council offices or website.
Special voting facilities will be available at the Council office in Hokitika during normal office hours during the voting period.
